This massif dominates the Chablais region in the south and in the west. The south-east face is covered with two big glaciers: the Glacier of Tsanfleuron and the Glacier of Diablerets. The summit provides a spectacular panorama.
In the south-west, the Diablerets is separated from the Muveran massif (alt. 3051m - 10010 ft) by the deep cut of the Pas de Cheville (alt. 2038m - 6'686 ft). In the east, the Sanetsch pass separates the Diablerets from the Wildhorn (alt. 3248m - 10656 ft). In the south, the Derborence valley leads to the Rhône Valley. In the north, we have the Alps of Vaud and Gruyere-Pays-d'Enhaut with La Tornette (alt. 2548m - 8360 ft) and Gummfluh (alt. 2458m - 8064 ft).
From the Col du Pillon a cable car leads to the summit of Sex Rouge (alt. 2971m - 9747 ft). This pleasant shortcut allows the summit in one day. The normal route from Sex Rouge is a very easy glacier route by good conditions.
